Refer an operator: give a month, get a month.

Refer another operator to Recovru with your code or link. When they buy a 12-month membership that counts under the scheme, pass our checks and keep it for 30 days with no refund or chargeback, we add a free month to the end of your membership, and a free 13th month to theirs. You can earn up to 12 months in any 12 months.

How it works.

  1. Share your link or code, only with people who know you and would expect to hear from you about it

    They are in the Recovru web app under Account, Refer an operator.

  2. The operator you refer joins with your link, or types your code in the Recovru web app before they pay for their first membership

    A code from a link is added only once they have seen whose it is and confirmed it.

  3. We check them as we check every operator: identity, right to work, business, insurance and the documents their trade needs

  4. They buy the 12-month membership, £519.99, from us

    A membership bought through the App Store or Google Play does not count at present.

  5. 30 days after their payment, with no refund and no chargeback, we add a free month to the end of your membership and a free 13th month to theirs

What counts.

A referral counts when all of these are true:

  • New to RecovruThey have had no operator account with Recovru in the last 12 months.
  • A different businessThey are a different business from yours: not the same person, company, VAT number, bank account or address.
  • Your link or codeThey used your link, or typed your code before paying. A code cannot be added or changed after their first membership payment.
  • Checked and clearedThey passed our operator checks, and we cleared them to work.
  • The 12-month membershipThey bought the 12-month membership, £519.99, from us. Monthly, 3-month and 6-month memberships, free founding places, trials and memberships bought through the App Store or Google Play do not count.
  • 30 days on30 days have passed since their payment, with no refund and no chargeback.

What you get, and what they get.

  • You

    A free month added to the end of your membership, 30 days after their payment, once they have passed our checks.

  • The operator you refer

    A free 13th month on their 12-month membership, added to their first renewal date.

  • The most you can earn

    12 months in any 12 months. A referral beyond that still counts, and its month is added once it no longer takes you over 12.

How a month is added.

Nothing is paid out: the date of your next payment moves.

  • Monthly membership

    Your next payment date moves back a month, and you pay nothing for that month. Nothing else about your membership changes.

  • 3, 6 or 12 months

    Your renewal date moves back a month, so your paid period runs a month longer, with everything your membership gives you.

  • A founding place

    Your free founding months stay as they are, and your referral months are added after them, so a referral never uses one up.

  • App Store or Google Play

    Apple and Google set those renewal dates, so your months wait until we can add them. They are kept for you in the meantime.

The small print.

  • Sharing your code

    Share your code only with people who know you and would expect to hear from you about it. Do not send it in bulk, to lists, or to anyone who has asked not to be contacted.

  • No cash value

    Months have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be passed to anyone else.

  • Refunds

    If a payment is refunded or charged back before your month is added, the referral does not count. If it happens afterwards, the month comes off your next renewal, or the next month you earn makes up for it.

  • Your own business

    Referring yourself, a business you own or run, or a business at your address does not count. A person at Recovru may hold a referral for review where two accounts look like one business, and decides whether it counts.

  • Good standing

    Your own account must be in good standing. Months waiting to be added are lost if we end your agreement because you broke the Operator Terms.

  • Changes

    We may change or end the scheme with at least 15 days' notice, and referrals that already count keep their months. It has no end date.

Tax and VAT.

A free month can count as income of your business, so a tax liability may arise, and if you are VAT registered, VAT may be due on it. Ask your accountant.

When it starts.

The scheme starts on the date we tell operators, in the app and by email, at least 15 days after we give them notice of the Operator Terms that include it. Its terms in full are section 6.3 of the Operator Terms.

Who can I refer?

Any roadside or recovery business that is new to Recovru, with no operator account in the last 12 months, and that is not you, a business you own or run, or a business at your address.

When is my free month added?

30 days after the operator you referred pays for their 12-month membership, once they have passed our checks and their payment has not been refunded or charged back.

Does a monthly membership count?

No. Only the 12-month membership, £519.99, bought from us counts. Monthly, 3-month and 6-month memberships, free founding places, trials and memberships bought through the App Store or Google Play do not.

Is there a limit?

You can earn up to 12 months in any 12 months. A referral beyond that still counts, and its month is added once it no longer takes you over 12.

Can I have the months as money?

No. Months have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be passed to anyone else.
