Recovru

Breakdown help and recovery for police force vehicles.

Breakdown help and recovery for your force's own vehicles, booked by your staff and billed to the force. Recovru does not store vehicles: every vehicle goes to the place you name, whether that is a station, a workshop or another of your force's sites.

Your force's own vehicles

Marked and unmarked cars, vans and motorcycles, booked by your officers and staff in the Recovru app.

References on every booking

Each booking can carry your force's job or incident number and the booking officer's staff or collar number, as your force chooses. They go on the force's statement.

Nobody types anyone's name on them, or any details of an offence.

How we check operators

Before any operator can quote, our staff check their identity, their right to work, their business, their VAT number if they are VAT registered, checked with HMRC, sanctions and politically exposed person screening, and the insurance and documents each trade needs.

What we don't do

Recovru does not carry out rescues: independent operators do, and we arrange each one as their agent. Recovru does not store vehicles: every vehicle goes to the place you name. A plan doesn't put anyone ahead in the queue. It isn't insurance or breakdown cover. We don't promise an arrival time.

Stolen vehicles, for their owners

Collecting a stolen vehicle once the police have released it is a separate service, booked by the vehicle's owner: see Stolen Vehicle Recovery.
