Recovru

Recovru for organisations: roadside help and recovery for the people who drive for you.

Roadside help and recovery for organisations whose people drive for work: companies, police forces, councils, ambulance services and more. Independent operators nearby who are cleared for the work send prices, and each rescue is billed to your organisation.

Who it's for

Organisations whose people drive for work: fleets and companies whose staff drive for work, police forces, councils, ambulance services, bus and coach operators, utilities, and courier and delivery fleets, and more. Your sector not here? Contact us all the same.

  • Company Fleets

When a company car or van, or a car your staff use on business, breaks down, they ask for help in the Recovru app. Independent operators nearby who are cleared for the work send prices, and the rescue is billed to your organisation.

  • Police Forces

Breakdown help and recovery for your force's own vehicles, booked by your staff and billed to the force.

  • Councils

Breakdown help and recovery for your fleet and for staff who drive for work, billed to the council. Recovru does not store or dispose of vehicles, so abandoned-vehicle work stays with your pound contractor.

  • Ambulance Services

Roadside help, tyres and recovery for rapid response cars, support vehicles and ambulances up to 3.5 tonnes, taken to your station or workshop. Your crew removes medicines, medical gases, clinical waste, equipment and patient records before a vehicle is handed over.

  • Fire and rescue services

Roadside help and recovery for officers' cars, vans and support vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.

  • Bus and coach operators

Roadside help and recovery for your managers' cars, engineers' vans and minibuses up to 3.5 tonnes, billed to you.

  • Couriers and delivery fleets

Flat tyres, flat batteries, lock-outs, vehicles that will not start, and recovery for vans and cars, requested by your drivers and billed to you. Take parcels out, or secure them, before a van is recovered where you can.

  • Utilities and telecoms

Roadside help and recovery for engineers' vans and cars, to your depot.

  • Rental and leasing

Roadside help and recovery for vehicles in your fleet, billed to you, with each rescue carrying your reference. Recovru does not deliver or collect vehicles that can be driven.

  • Taxi and private hire

Roadside help and recovery for licensed vehicles, requested by your drivers and billed to your company. Passengers continue by another vehicle.

  • Dealerships and auctions

Recovery of vehicles that cannot be driven, including from customers' homes, to your workshop, and roadside help for your courtesy and demonstrator cars, billed to you. Recovru does not move vehicles that can be driven.

  • Insurers, brokers and fleet claims teams

Accident recovery to the repairer or salvage agent you name, billed to your account with your claim reference. Recovru does not store vehicles.

  • Housing associations and facilities companies

Roadside help and recovery for your maintenance vans and pool cars, billed to you. We do not remove vehicles parked or left on your land: for abandoned vehicles, contact the council.

  • Construction

Roadside help and recovery for vans and pickups, to your yard or a workshop you name. Recovru does not move plant or machinery.

  • Community transport and charities

Roadside help and recovery for minibuses, cars and mobility vehicles your staff and volunteers drive, billed to your organisation. Recovru cannot arrange wheelchair-accessible onward transport.

  • Driving schools

Roadside help and recovery for tuition cars, including dual-controlled cars, billed to the school.

  • Universities, colleges and NHS estates

Roadside help and recovery for estates, security and shuttle vehicles, and for staff who drive between sites, billed to you. We do not remove vehicles parked on your land.

  • Security and cash-in-transit

Roadside help and recovery for your vehicles once cash and valuables have been removed. Your crew and your procedures stay in charge at the scene.

  • Care providers and community health teams

Help at the roadside for staff who drive their own cars between visits, billed to you when they are working.

  • Car clubs and electric fleets

Roadside help and recovery for your cars and vans, electric ones included. Recovru does not offer roadside charging.

  • Funeral directors

Roadside help and recovery for hearses and private ambulances, once the person in your care has been moved to another vehicle.

Police forces

Breakdown help and recovery for your force's own vehicles, booked by your staff and billed to the force.

What a force can book, and what it can't, is on Police Forces.

What the plan gives

  • We agree a plan with you. We price it for your organisation and the people you name, monthly or yearly, and every price we quote includes VAT.
  • Your people join in their app, and each one sees what your organisation will see before they join. They get the features of Recovru's Family plan for themselves, as each is live in the app.
  • You're billed, not them. Each rescue is billed to your organisation, with your purchase order, cost centre or job number on it. You pay by card, Direct Debit or invoice.

The plan is set out in full on Commercial Plans.

Quotes and invoices, VAT included

All prices include VAT. Every price we quote for a plan includes it, and every rescue price an operator sends is the total, with any VAT they charge included. Nothing is added on top.

Invoices are addressed to your organisation, with its registered name, billing address and VAT number and your purchase order, cost centre or job number. Your plan is invoiced by Dapper Trading Ltd, trading as Recovru, with the VAT shown. Each rescue is invoiced in the operator's name, issued by Recovru as their agent, with the VAT shown when the operator is VAT registered.

How we check operators

Before any operator can quote, our staff check their identity, their right to work, their business, their VAT number if they are VAT registered, checked with HMRC, sanctions and politically exposed person screening, and the insurance and documents each trade needs.

What each trade must hold, from public liability to the licences heavy recovery needs, is in section 8.3 of the Operator Terms.

What we don't do

Recovru does not carry out rescues: independent operators do, and we arrange each one as their agent. Recovru does not store vehicles: every vehicle goes to the place you name. A plan doesn't put anyone ahead in the queue. It isn't insurance or breakdown cover. We don't promise an arrival time.

Your data and your people's

Your organisation sees each rescue it pays for, with your references, and never your people's live location or route, their messages or calls, or the rescues they pay for themselves.

For procurement teams
