Version 2026-10-22. It takes effect on the day we publish it. For authorised members booking for a police force. Read these alongside the ordinary Terms of Use and your force's instructions.

Changes in this version

section 7 now says that Recovru does not arrange seizure, statutory removal or evidential recovery, as the Operator Terms (section 9.3) say.

1. Your account and authority.

These terms supplement the Recovru Terms of Use. Use your own verified account and keep your password private. Join only if the organisation has authorised you, and make bookings only within the authority it gives you. Recovru staff appoint company admins after checking their authority. A company admin may invite members and deputies; they cannot appoint another company admin.

2. Booking for the organisation.

A booking billed to the organisation is made on its behalf. The organisation is the independent operator's customer and pays under its commercial agreement with Recovru. Recovru arranges the booking as that operator's disclosed agent. Its plan, agreed prices, booking discount, limits and payment arrangements remain those of the organisation's agreement; accepting these member terms does not change them. Check the vehicle, pickup, destination, required references and the quote before accepting. A higher price needs express acceptance and must remain within the organisation's limits. If the organisation permits a personal booking and you choose to pay yourself, the ordinary personal booking terms apply.

3. What to put in a booking.

Give the short references your organisation asks for. There is no universal police, NHS or other sector reference format: your organisation chooses the fields and any required format. Tick only applicable operational instructions. A note is limited to 280 characters and must describe vehicle access, equipment or safe handling only. Do not include patient names, NHS numbers, diagnoses, passenger names, offence allegations, witness or suspect details, case narratives, passwords or access credentials. Use your organisation's secure channel for sensitive information. A reference can still identify a person when linked to another system: provide it only when authorised and necessary.

4. What others see.

Before joining you are shown what the organisation receives under the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use 7A. It can see your membership and the bookings billed to it, including the references and operational details it needs for them. It does not receive your personal bookings or your private Recovru content. Operators receive the vehicle, location, destination and necessary handling information for the request or job; private billing references are not generally shown to them. Your organisation is a separate controller of information it receives and must give you its own privacy notice. Acceptance of these terms is agreement to a contract, not blanket consent to process health or criminal offence data.

5. Safety and the limits of the service.

Recovru is a marketplace for vehicle assistance, not an emergency service, patient transport service, insurer or vehicle custodian. Operators are independent businesses responsible for their work and applicable insurance. The organisation's plan promises no attendance time, priority or specialist accreditation. A booking requiring named approvals, specialist equipment, lawful vetting or an authorised removal is available only where separately agreed and enabled. Do not use the app instead of your control room or emergency services when anyone is in immediate danger.

6. Leaving, changes and help.

You can leave the organisation in your account. The organisation may remove your place; accepted organisation bookings remain billed to it. When current member terms change, you must read and expressly accept the new version before making new organisation bookings. The organisation's commercial agreement and the ordinary Terms of Use continue to govern their respective matters, including complaints and applicable liability. Contact the person managing Recovru at your organisation, or support@recovru.com. Dapper Trading Ltd, company 08800299, Oak House, Reeds Crescent, Watford WD24 4QP, trading as Recovru, provides the platform.

7. Police bookings.

For your force's own vehicles, use its incident or CAD reference, collar or staff number and fleet number where it asks for them. These are organisation requirements, not a national format. Recovru does not arrange seizure, statutory removal or evidential recovery. Use your force's vehicle recovery arrangements. The force remains responsible for authority, control-room instructions and sensitive evidence. The operator records handover where the agreed workflow requires it; Recovru does not take custody or grant release authority.
