Your fleet and your staff
- Pool cars, vans, highways and parks vehicles, and minibuses up to 3.5 tonnes.
- Staff who drive their own cars for council work, such as social workers and care staff.
- Roadside help from the services in the app, and Recovery and Towing and Van Recovery to the depot, workshop or site you name. Mobility Vehicles are recovered or repaired with the person who uses them in mind.
What doesn't fit
- Collecting, storing or disposing of abandoned vehicles: that stays with your pound contractor.
- Parking enforcement removals.
- Removing vehicles from housing land or private land.
What we don't do
Recovru does not carry out rescues: independent operators do, and we arrange each one as their agent. Recovru does not store vehicles: every vehicle goes to the place you name. A plan doesn't put anyone ahead in the queue. It isn't insurance or breakdown cover. We don't promise an arrival time.
For procurement
Each booking can carry your purchase order, cost centre or job number, as the council chooses, and nobody types anyone's name on them.

How we check operators
Before any operator can quote, our staff check their identity, their right to work, their business, their VAT number if they are VAT registered, checked with HMRC, sanctions and politically exposed person screening, and the insurance and documents each trade needs.
Your organisation sees each rescue it pays for, with your references, and never your people's live location or route, their messages or calls, or the rescues they pay for themselves.
How the plan works
- We agree a plan with you. We price it for your organisation and the people you name, monthly or yearly, and every price we quote includes VAT.
- Your people join in their app. We add the people you name to your plan. Each one sees what your organisation will see before they join.
- They ask for help when they need it. Quotes come from independent operators nearby who are cleared for the work, each one the total, with any VAT included. Your people choose one, and Recovru arranges that rescue as the operator's agent: the operator's contract and invoice are with your organisation.
- You're billed, not them. Each rescue is billed to your organisation, with your purchase order, cost centre or job number on it. You pay by card, Direct Debit or invoice.
Questions
Can you clear abandoned vehicles for us?
No. Recovru does not store or dispose of vehicles, so abandoned-vehicle work stays with your pound contractor.
Can our staff use it in their own cars on council business?
Yes. Staff can ask for help in a car they use for council work. Which rescues the plan pays for is set in your agreement.
Is it breakdown cover?
No. It isn't insurance or breakdown cover.
